This Sysco Los Angeles position is located in the Los Angeles/Orange/San Bernardino County area.
The Merchandiser role interfaces with accounting departments, operating company buyers, business review managers, VP of Merchandising and Marketing, suppliers, warehouses, pricing coordinators, buyers and department personnel.
Purchase produce/or food supplies
Maintain and manage inventory while providing customers with an excellent service level.
Negotiate pricing and programs with various vendors
Support Sales Department's efforts to grow our market share.
Assists in set up of new supplier programs and products.
Assists in developing point of sale (POS) materials with suppliers.
Assists Product Managers and OpCo with Business Reviews, SKU rationalization, program analysis
Assists Product Managers in product presentations to customers at the Corporate office.
Works with suppliers to source products and remain competitively priced.
Coordinates with QA for plant audits and approvals for all suppliers.
Reviews packaging boxes and labels with Marketing Services.
Assigns supc numbers for Sysco branded or supplier sku's with adequate 3rd line desciptions
Coordinates pricing for input into the main frame system
Monitors the departmental cash receipts system and follow up on delinquent suppliers
Assists Department Manager/Product Manager as requested
