KMC Music, a division of Fender Musical Instruments Corporation is looking for a Merchandising Product Manager to join our Marketing Team in Bloomfield, CT. The role of the merchandiser is to bring the right product at the right time and right price to our customer/dealer. This is accomplished through the cataloging, promoting and selling of vendor supplied product and KMCMusicorp proprietary product.
This position entails identifying product and product lines for distribution, creating effective promotions and selling propositions, analyzing and maximize the success and profitability of our wholesale business, negotiating with vendors/suppliers for mutually beneficial concessions and organizing vendor training sessions for the sales team. Another aspect of this position will be the sourcing of proprietary products.
Highly developed knowledge of musical instruments and their applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent project management and negotiation skills.
Motivation to continually study and increase breadth of product and market knowledge.
Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Report Net (COGNOS).
Sales experience recommended.
Purchasing experience recommended.
