Merchant Services Manager

Responsible for directing the Merchant Services product offering for the organization. Responsible for the departments profitability and expense control. Participates in and oversees the development of product evaluation and enhancements, statewide training programs, contract negotiation, pricing negotiation, and client presentations. Responsible for managing and mitigating risk and fraud as it relates to the acquiring business. Responsible for directing and training associates involved in Merchant Services functions. Supports lenders with all aspects of business development, prepares management reports and ensures an accurate inventory control for equipment. Ensures compliance as mandated by Federal Regulations, banking regulations and all card associations. Manages employees, including hiring, firing and performance management. Other duties as assigned.
Requires a Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of merchant service operations and products, product evaluation, processes, procedures, banking or other directly related experience. Managerial/Supervisory experience required. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements. Motivational, budgeting and project management experience preferred. Requires an in-depth knowledge of merchant services operations and servicing, legal and regulatory requirements. Working knowledge of related computer systems and software. Must have excellent management, customer service, problem resolution and strong judgment skills. Excellent analysis and communications skills, both written and verbal. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts.
