Position is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of an ongoing, internal compliance audit program covering multiple client and vendor relationships/multiple functional units. Ensures that organization is in compliance with government regulatory agency requirements, contracts, agreements and/or standards
Develops and directs the performance of audits based on client, regulatory and internal requirements. Includes the development of audit procedures, controls and assessment of risks, analysis of records, reports, regulations and operating practices and procedures.
Hires, develops, evaluates and counsels (when appropriate) employees, ensuring effective job performance by coaching and evaluating subordinates against such.
In consultation with superiors and subordinates, develops efficient workflow patterns, establishes performance standards, procedures and policies, ensures adequate staffing and staff training as needed to support a full-service audit program.
Directs the preparation of audit records and reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
Effectively manages relationships and ensures communication and reporting on compliance adherence to all levels of organization internally and externally to clients.
Ensures administration of operating budget for area of responsibility, managing expenses against plan objectives.
May represent the department on client visits, on-site audits, project teams, cross-site and intra-departmental meetings.
§ 3-5 years knowledge of auditing duties, systems or operations to be audited, Compliance knowledge, knowledge of data analysis and improvement tools
§ 3-5 years of insurance, mortgage or financial services experience
§ 2-4 years in a supervisory position
§ Experience in managing multiple clients and functions
§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
