The Manager, Business Development, Marketing & Digital Activation, has responsibility for managing the digital and marketing activations sales process with current and new USOC sponsors, licensee and advertisers. He/She will develop integrated digital and marketing activation platforms for USOC partners. He/She will manage the sponsor/advertiser integration in all USOC digital assets including inventory management, pricing, tracking and reporting.

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic & Organizational Development

Work collaboratively with other marketing functions to create, price and deliver marketing activation and digital assets for USOC sponsors and licensees and advertisers.

With Partnership Marketing, optimize value in our existing categories through direct renewals and cultivating competitive prospects.

Develop cross-platform and integrated marketing and digital platforms to provide areas for USOC sponsor activation.

Maintain marketplace overview and valuation of opportunities and assets.

Manage the sponsorship tiering structure in a disciplined fashion.

Provide real time measurement of revenue forecasts for current and future quads.

Translate innovative new thinking and conventional best practices from various industries into the USOC’s context to ensure that the USOC stays on the leading edge in Sales.

Maintain inventory of USOC sponsorship and digital assets and valuations including historical and emerging trends and pipeline development.

Digital Media Business Development

Provide processes and resources for Digital Media Business Development Manager to sell media sales packages.

Manage all Digital Revenue objectives including reporting, sponsor commitments, inventory management and pricing.

Support the development of media distribution agreements with media partners including revenue sharing.

Oversee the sales inventory development and fulfillment of both original programming and live events for digital distribution.

Oversee the distribution of timely analytics on the performance of USOC digital assets including deep analysis on opportunities for growth throughout USOC digital initiatives.


He/she is expected to foster a sense of teamwork and camaraderie while driving specific business results and collaborating with team members in multiple locations.

He/she has daily interaction with USOC Digital Media Team, Partnership Marketing Team, Finance and USOC Marketing Department Senior Management.

Supervise the Coordinator, Business Development, Digital Media and his/her responsibilities in implementing, trafficking and reporting digital media campaigns.

Provide guidance and resources to the Digital Media Sales Manager.

Minimum Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field

MBA preferred

3-6 years digital media experience with an emphasis Digital Media Sales, Advertising and content development.

7-10 years marketing activation experience, with strong sports marketing background

Deep knowledge of content development, digital media industry trends and sponsor marketing activations

Strong marketing background in developing cross-platform integrated marketing plans

Strong business acumen and judgment

Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, finances, and P&L analyses

Demonstrated ability to be creative in both content development and problem-solving

Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with business leaders to assist in the development and maintenance of digital campaigns

Presentation skills with sufficient knowledge and experience to provide counsel and recommendations to key internal and external stakeholders

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse workforce and provide leadership in organizational change

Strong interpersonal and skills and cross-functional skills, excellent analytical/conceptual abilities, and a capacity for creativity/innovation
