Bend Research is seeking a microbiologist to work at its current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) pharmaceutical research and development facility where staff prepares clinical supplies of novel drug formulations using new technologies.The Microbiologist will perform microbial analysis and is responsible for the environmental monitoring program in the GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Job tasks will include method development and validation, managing lab investigations and corrective and preventive actions, taking a lead role as troubleshooter and trainer, and will be the primary technical contact with clients.Candidates must have an advanced degree in Microbiology or a bachelors degree and 5+ years of experience in microbiology or related field; experience in an FDA-regulated microbiology laboratory is preferred. Experience with pharmaceutical microbiology test procedures and knowledge of cGMPs, GLP, FDA guidelines, ICH guidelines, EU guidance, USP, EP and JP are a big plus.About Bend ResearchFor more than 30 years, Bend Research has worked with clients to solve their most difficult scientific and technical problems, advancing new medicines that improve human health.
