Strategic Analysis is seeking a versatile individual to satisfy a requirement for Microbiologist to support our government client. Successful applicants will work with members of a team to provide technical expertise and program management assistance to our government client on revolutionary research efforts.
PhD (with 8+ years of post-graduate experience) in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Environmental Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Toxicology.
Demonstrated research and working experience in detection and characterization of biological threat agents in clinical and environmental samples.
Demonstrated experience in biological sample collection technologies and approaches.
Experience in bioinformatics, including metagenomics analysis and next generation sequencing, desired.
Candidate must be able to quickly and effectively analyze, summarize and communicate the intellectual content of scientific and technological information to both scientific and lay audiences, and have the ability to multi-task and respond to quick turn-around requests.
Demonstrated history of exceptional professional and/or academic achievement.
Strong time management skills and ability to work independently; a self-starter.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
U.S. citizenship is required
Possesses active DoD Secret Clearance or equivalent
You will become the invaluable subject matter expert for the Government Client providing technical expertise and technical management capabilities. Responsibilities include: technical assessment and recommendations, technical interchanges, research support and evaluation, preparation of experimental and test plans and reports, analysis and interpretation of data, identification of technology gaps, technical risk management, and technology transfer efforts.
