As a result of increased business, Faithful+Gould seeks an enthusiastic, self-starting Mid-Level Estimator to join our existing team in our beautiful Downtown Philadelphia office. This person will prepare cost estimates and provide business support to senior staff as directed. Typical duties include the following:

Analyzes blueprints and other documents and prepares detailed cost estimates. Performs accurate quantity takeoffs of available design documents.

Obtains accurate and up to date pricing information from databases, contractors, suppliers, etc. to utilize in estimates.

Works with architects and entineers to develop clear understanding of project scope during preparation of estimate. Develops relationships with members of A/E firms and project team members.

Assists senior staff in ways to make projects more efficient. Seeks ways to improve accuracy and efficiency of tasks.

Maintains project documents such as drawings and specifications in an organized and reasonable manner. Maintains project files on file server in accourdance with company standards.

Maintains and updates data library of costs.

Prepares cost reconciliation between two or more estimates and explains variance cost drivers.

Performs such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

Job Details

Appropriately Qualified Candidates will possess the following skills and experience:

Bachelor's degree in Costruction, Quantity Surveying or related field.

At least four years of relevent estimation experience on commercial construction projects.

Must be highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving and strong decision making abilities.

Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.

Should have intermediate knowledge of CATO, working knowledge of electronic takeoff including CAD Measure, and a working knowledge of commercially available construction cost estimating system(s).

Must thoroughly understand and utilize Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.

A professional designation such as RICS, CCE, CCM, PE, ASPE, AACEI, CVS, is preferred.
