The CREC-Public Safety Academy seeks a team orientated and innovative School Guidance Counselor. The counselor will be responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive developmental guidance program for grades 6-12. The successful candidate needs to be a team player with the ability to assist with development and monitoring of student 504 plans, FBAs/BIPs as well as staff and parent consultations, contact with community providers, and individual, group and crisis intervention work. Counselor will also assist the scheduling and programming for all students. Experience working at the middle and/or high school level, and experience with PowerSchool, Response to Intervention, and Positive Behavior Support initiatives is preferred.

Requires Master's Degree in School Counseling or related clinical discipline plus experience in an educational or clinical setting. CT State DOE certification also required.
