The Middleware System Administrator will support Windows and Linux operating systems and the underlying tiers in support of Enterprise applications, including but not limited to, .Net, Tomcat, Apache, Oracle's Weblogic and Forms, and others. The System Administrator will lead upgrades and implementations, develop and provide standard practices in support of applications and operating systems and work in a developed team atmosphere.
Acceptable Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors' degree and four years of experience in Information Technology, Associates degree and six years, or a combination of education and experience equal to eight years.
Position requires administration experience with both Windows Server and Linux, experience in installing, configuring and supporting middleware applications, solid communication skills and ability to work in a team.
Additional Desirable Qualifications:
Experience with the following applications is desirable: Remedy, Oracle Forms, Oracle Weblogic, SAP Business Intelligence, FAMIS, or Kronos Timekeeping.

Manage, architect, install, test and maintain operating systems and application software for Windows and Linux systems.
Analyze and resolve problems associated with operating systems, application software, user security, and networking connectivity.
Develop and maintain documentation for installation and support of services.

Maintain familiarity with current and emerging technical tools and participate in the evaluation of alternatives for technical solutions and vendor software evaluations.
Communicate effectively the need, design and implementation for hardware and software solutions.
Work with vendors to ensure successful integration of new software and tools.
Develop and test project plans for effective systems implementations of various software solutions and upgrades.
Provide communication plans for effective project implementations.
Lead and ensure good practices and departmental requirements are being met in projects.
Develop delivery of documentation.
Provide problem coordinator coverage for problem tickets.
Test networking environments.
