The incumbent acts under close supervision and is accountable for operating the truck dumps and scales, mobile equipment, the husk baler; performing housekeeping and preventive maintenance, and hauling cobs. Also, the incumbent is accountable for bagging and, warehousing of products produced on assigned shift to ensure proper material movement and storage.

Job Parameters
This position reports to the Foreman along with Cob Mill Workers (various levels) and Operator positions. To function effectively, the incumbent must be able to:
1. Operate the husk baler (if applicable), truck dumps and scales, and mobile equipment under close supervision.
2. Develop a basic knowledge of cob products so that proper grade of product is put in appropriate bag and bin.
3. Operate sewing equipment, bagging equipment, and assigned bulk equipment under close supervision for moving raw material and finished products.
4. Carry out good housekeeping procedures.
5. Possess a willingness to learn basic cob mill operations (shelter system and related equipment, as well as pellet mill and related equipment).
6. Change shifts and work in other areas as needed.
7. Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of all safety policies and standards related to this position. Safety meeting attendance and pro-active incident reporting/identification is expected of all on-site personnel. To achieve full integration of safety into the culture, the incumbent will be expected to actively participate in safety training and any other safety related activities.
8. Carry out preventive maintenance as assigned and report equipment breakdowns to the Foreman.

In order to operate effectively, the incumbent must be willing to accept guidance and training, show pride in work, display a cooperative attitude towards co-workers, and act in accordance with Company policies.

This position functions as a member of a team. Therefore, the incumbent must display a cooperative attitude conducive to efficient operations.

Instructions Received
This position receives oral and, written instructions from the Foreman and other direction from senior level Cob Mill Workers and Operators.

This position functions according to and within established Company policies as set down by the Foreman.

Working Conditions
The incumbent in this position must be able to lift 50 to 100 pounds. The working environment includes exposure to dust, cold, heat, dirt and noise. The hazards normally associated with machinery operation are present.

The knowledge and skills needed to perform this position successfully are typically acquired through a high school diploma or GED. The incumbent must possess the physical capabilities to meet the requirements of this position and should have at least six months to one year experience with the type of equipment and machinery in use at the Cob Mill.

The incumbent in this position must be able to lift 50 to 100 pounds. The working environment includes exposure to dust, cold, heat, dirt and noise. The hazards normally associated with machinery operation are present.

Principal Accountabilities
The following accountabilities are to be carried out in a manner consistent with the spirit and philosophy outlined in The Andersons' Statement of Principles:
1. Perform all duties in accordance with Corporate, Group, and Location Safety policies and procedures. Participate in location and divisional safety efforts to help ensure the work environment of self and co-workers is free from safety hazards.
2. Assist in operating the truck dumps, scales, baler (if applicable), bagging and warehousing efficiently as assigned.
3. Assist in maintaining vital records to assure accuracy of documentation.
4. Perform preventive maintenance tasks as assigned to minimize downtime and increase efficiency on assigned equipment.
5. Keep the area clean in order to promote safety and present a good image to customers.
6. Perform sampling procedures for raw materials and finished products as assigned.
7. Display an attitude and disposition, which reflect pride in the job, indicate a willingness to work within the framework of Company policy, and to function as a team in the performance of duties.
8. Display a spirit of cooperation and a willingness to accept direction from the supervisor.
