The Ballistic Missile Defense System Integration Group is looking for a candidate to work on the development and evaluation of new techniques for ballistic missile defense systems. Work will involve signal processing and detection, parameter estimation multi-sensor/multiple target tracking, advanced decision algorithm/ architecture, weapon/sensor management, and system performance optimization for currently deployed and future BMD systems. Research areas will include mission data analysis, sensor or target model development, and simulations for algorithms evaluation and overall BMD system decision support.


PhD in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Physics, Applied Mathematics, System Science and Engineering, or equivalent. In lieu of a PhD, an MS with 5+ years of directly related experience will be considered. Must be able to work on a broad range of problems. Candidate should have 2-3 years of technical experience in ballistic missile systems or related fields (sensor systems, missile systems, etc.)Candidate with background in sensor phenomenology, dynamic system analysis, and estimation and decision theory is desired.
