BAT UAS OCONUS Mission Commander

The BAT UAS OCONUS Mission Commander is responsible for coordinating all aspects of BAT UAS mission execution with a team consisting of Unmanned Air System (UAS) Pilots, Imagery Analysts and Technicians in support of UAV operations in austere OCONUS sites. Mission Commander will directly interface with Military and Coalition forces in the Tactical Operations Center to provide UAS support needs as identified and prioritized by the customer. The Mission Commander is also responsible for post mission debriefs, SITREPS, MISREPS and dissemination of nomination packages. The candidate will travel OCONUS for 6-month periods on a regular basis. The Mission Commander must also be willing to cross-train as an Air Vehicle Pilot, Imagery Analyst, or Technician. Expect up to 75% travel and 6-12 month overseas deployments.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
BS degree in a technical field with 9-13 years experience in aerospace. Must be a commercial pilot airplane single-engine land with instrument rating, have a minimum of 200 hours as pilot in command, and have a current FAA Class 2 medical certificate or better. Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance

UAS Mission Commander experience. Deployed experience in the Area of Operations. US Secret security clearance. Must be able to pass all CRC physical and medical requirements prior to deployment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Rated military or civilian commercial aviator. Joint and Coalition experience. Demonstrated decision making and leadership/management experience.
