Group O has an immediate need for an individual to serve as a Modeling Analyst. This position does require a statistical background, but it is also a highly technical computer position with significant computer-related duties. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Develop statistical models and customer profiles utilizing sophisticated computer technologies including SQL and MS SQL databases.
•Provide technical analysis in support of direct marketing product promotions and customer retention programs utilizing Unix queries and databases.
•Use advanced statistical techniques (cluster, decision trees, regression, transpose, transformation) in SAS business analytics software in the development of predictive models used to maximize direct mail and outbound telemarketing efficiency in product acquisition and retention promotions.
•Pull and create data using SQL, and analyze data by ‘PROC FREQ’ ‘PROC MEANS’ in SAS, roll up the data into the modeling level in SAS.
•Test and report statistical model performance utilizing business analytics software; analyze customer data, demographic data and geographic data.
•Create datasets for modeling (for example, address level, customer location level or account level) and analysis utilizing Unix queries within databases.
•Develop statistical models to predict the customer buy/churn rate.
•Create customer profiles, analyzing customer buying behavior;
•Post evaluate the statistical model performance and report to marketing product promotion and customer retention programs.
•Significant computer skills including experience with statistical analysis software, SQL and MS SQL databases, and in creating and using Unix queries within databases.
•Master’s Degree in Statistics, Applied Statistics, an MS/MBA with a quantitative qualification, or an equivalent degree.|
