Mold Makers Needed
Fabricate and repair molds used in the injection and blow molding environment with an understanding of molds and the molding operations in the automotive industry.
Perform highly skilled tasks required to repair molds with high tolerances and complexity.
Ability to work from engineering drawings, rough sketches, verbal instructions and CAD data.
Ability to load and manipulate drawing files using CAD/CAM Software to optimize tool operations.
Skilled in the operation of conventional and CNC milling machines, sinker and wire EDM machines.
Able to use lathes and surface grinders. Perform layout and bench work, using machines and hand tooling.
Ability to perform operations using a spotting press as needed.
Perform duties with little or no direction.
Assist manufacturing in trouble shooting molds while in injection presses.
Required high school diploma or GED equivalent with the ability to read write and communicate in English to comprehend and follow written procedures, container labels and safety precautions.
Vocational, technical or college training in Machine Shop preferred.
Journeyman certification is required as a Tool and Die Maker or Mold Maker with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
General knowledge of troubleshooting, materials and methods, machines and tools, and practical application of engineering science.
Computer knowledge and CNC or EDM and TIG welding, but not required.
CAD/Blueprint reading and shop math, mold/die building experience is a plus, but not necessary. Basic knowledge in automation.
Knowledge / experience in injection, blow, extrusion molding or die cast environment.
Must display a sense of commitment and a positive attitude as a skilled trade's person.
Must have a demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
