National Cancer Institute, Center for Cancer Research, Chemical Biology Laboratory, Frederick, MD

Postdoctoral positions in chemical biology are available in the Chemical Biology Laboratory at the National Cancer Institute - Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research. The successful candidate(s) will become part of a large, multidisciplinary, and internationally recognized research community. These positions are fully funded by the NCI intramural program and will focus on the development of chemical tools to understand the functional connections between metabolism and chromatin modifying enzymes in cancer. The laboratory is seeking applicants with expertise in the area of bioorganic chemistry-chemical biology. A successful candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, or a related field with a track record of productivity and independence
  • Experience in modern molecular/cell biology techniques (cloning, protein expression, transient transfection/siRNA knockdown a plus)
  • Creative thinking skills, command of scientific literature.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in the English language.
