About The Department:
Our department is a very busy Progressive Care Unit. Our patients are monitored with a portable heart monitor known as a Telemetry Monitor. We see many patients who have cardiac and respiratory problems. All of our nurses have Advanced Cardio-Pulmonary Life Support Training. They are also certified in EKG recognition and treatment.
About The Manager:
Patricia Seaman, Nurse Manager:
I have been a nurse for 28 years. I have spent the last 9 years in Management. I have worked at CentraState for 3 years. Most of my nursing career has been on a Telemetry Unit. I love the fast pace and challenges that present themselves on such a unit. There is something new to learn here every day. When given the opportunity to manage on a Telemetry Unit, I jumped at the chance! The first thing I noticed when coming to CentraState is the camaraderie that is evident throughout the organization. Our staff on the PCU works together to provide excellent patient care. My favorite hobbies outside of work are reading and spending time with my family. I also have an adorable little dauschound named Rusty that lifts my spirits every day.
