Job Skills/Requirements

SECTION I. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Process all loan types.
2. Implement duties for loan prospector.
3. Mail all verifications with copy of authorization and examine for accuracy.
4. Set up new processing file for loans, review appraisals, and evaluate tax returns on self-employed borrowers.
5. Work with loan officers and customers to obtain necessary information to complete files, review pre-closing and post-closing documents for compliance.

3. Mail all verifications with copy of authorization and examine for accuracy.
4. Set up new processing file for loans, review appraisals, and evaluate tax returns on self-employed borrowers.
5. Work with loan officers and customers to obtain necessary information to complete files, review pre-closing and post-closing documents for compliance.
6. Order credit reports, appraisals, title opinions on loan files and submit packages to PMI companies as needed.
7. Send credit reports to various branches and Market Areas, send all adverse action notices on all denied loans, log credit reports, appraisals, and title opinions performed.
8. Work with Market Areas in processing FHLMC loans, and do G/L entries prior to loan being placed on-line.
9. Work with some loan exceptions, figure payments, answer inquiries concerning mortgage loans, and answer overflow telephone calls.
10. Perform other duties within department as assigned.
11. Prepares and reviews closing documents.
12. Assist Loan Officers with finalizing loans through HUD settlement.
13. Do final reviews of loans to determine if all documentation and information is obtained to close loans, and/or to assist in underwriting of loans. Underwriting includes having knowledge of secondary market guidelines.

SECTION II. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES/EXPERIENCE
Position normally requires a high school diploma or GED plus such practical knowledge as would be learned on the job.
Over 2 years and up to four years of experience.
Excellent PC skills with knowledge of Word, EXCEL and other applicable software.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Knowledge of governmental rules and regulations.
Notary Public.
Successfully completed training in Loan Prospector, Mortgage Ware, & Mortgage Loan Processing.

Education Requirements (All)

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Over two years and up to four years of experience.
