Contemporary Services is currently recruiting for Mortgage Loan Processors in the Kent Washington area. These are direct hire positions with a major credit union. This position offers a great salary and full benefits.
Successful candidates for these positions will have 3+ years of previous Mortgage Processing experience both in conventional and FHA loans.
This position requires the candidate be SAFE act compliant and either already be registered as a MLO or do so immediately after hire.
Proficient math skills, with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to manually prepare closing papers, including the preparation of Reg.-Z Truth in Lending statement.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretionary judgment.
Excellent oral and written skills to effectively communicate in the English language.
Ability to work independently, and as a team member, while using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving.
Ability to adapt to changes within working responsibilities regardless of whether the change is driven internally or by market or regulatory changes.
Good interpersonal skills to ensure issues are handled in a fair and consistent manner.
Proficient PC skills (including mortgage software), with the ability to learn new software.
Ability to perform in a multi-tasked environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to work within stringent time constraints, under pressure.
B.A. or B. S. degree in business or equivalent work or educational experience.
Successful completion of courses or seminars relating to mortgage banking processing and underwriting, and escrow. Successful completion of courses required to maintain the LPO designation preferred
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a mortgage loan processor, closer or underwriter with an emphasis on conventional loan products.
Comply with SAFE Act legislation, which requires annual registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).
