The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for the timely, accurate completion and review of application(s) and processing of loans. Responsibilities include maintaining effective and timely communication with the appropriate internal and external party"s associated with the loan(s) to ensure coordination and exchange of information for ultimately accomplishing the timely closing of member"s loan(s).
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Effective use of daily pipeline reports to manage workflow.
Meet secondary market lock.
Order appraisal, title work, credit report, verifications and any other necessary documentation.
Verify and update application information.
Interact with members regarding loan status.
Process mail and input document tracking dates.
Check for accuracy and completeness to ensure FORUM meets all compliance regulations.
Understand mortgage products and prices.
Handle incoming telephone calls with professionalism and courtesy. This includes directing calls to the proper person, taking accurate detailed messages, and retrieving messages from voice mail.
Be responsive to member needs and keeping supervisor notified of concerns or problems in a timely manner.
Work effectively as a team member, participating actively and constructively. Display a professional manner in dealing with supervisors, co workers, members, and others inside and outside the credit union. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
College Degree or equivalent work experience
Previous experience in an administrative support role, preferably in the mortgage industry
High level of customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong business acumen
Strong problem solving and organizational skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office software)
