Adhere to ECU policies and guidelines related to home equity and mortgage loan products

Maintain strict confidentiality toward member information

Maintain up to date knowledge of mortgage and home equity regulations

Assist with equity closings

Prepare equity closing documents with a high degree of accuracy and to ensure ECU''s lien position and comply with regulatory compliance

Process home equity loans which includes ordering title searches and reviewing for accuracy, scheduling closings, preparing the file for the closers

Assist with closings of home equity loans

Process mortgage loans which includes
o Request verifications of rent, employment and/or income
o Review weekly pipeline reports; following up with attorneys and appraisers
o Manage a daily tracking report for any needed items and follow up
o Ordering private mortgage insurance, when applicable
o Ordering flood determinations
o Entering loan information into Easylender
o Reviewing file for accuracy (review all dates, signatures, HMDA information)
o Submit loans through automated underwriting system as applicable
o Review loan documents for mortgage and home equity loans for accuracy to comply with regulations concerning closing costs tolerances and APR

Prepare loan for closing

Prepare and mail approval letter to applicants

Responsible for accurate and complete loan documentation to meet underwriting conditions to comply with FNMA, FHA, VA, USDA and in-house loan products

Submits approved mortgage loan file to pre-audit for closing

Perform all member service responsibilities to include realtor contacts, outside vendors such as appraisers, closing agents, home inspectors and all other parties to the transaction with a high degree of courtesy and professionalism to promote ECU as the preferred financial institution

Required Skills

Required Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
