Position Responsibilities :
The Multimedia Designer is responsible for design and execution of sales and marketing materials. Assignments include advertisements, promotions, sales collateral, brochures, newsletters, spec ads and presentations that position Detroit Media Partnership as a marketplace leader to current and prospective advertisers and consumers. The position works closely with other team members of the Client Solutions team. They design Flash banner ads, for web, mobile, and emerging platforms, and various forms of digital sales collateral to support client-specific needs and/or specific client solution initiatives. Projects may encompass the following: Flash banner ad design for spec and live ads, Rich Media, splash pages, logo buttons, e-cards, web site mock ups, promo banners, custom graphics and illustrations.
The position requires the ability to quickly develop creative design executions across platforms to support client-specific needs and/or specific client solution initiatives as developed by the Integrated Client Solutions team or promotional materials that position our products as market leaders.
The Mutimedia Designer needs to be proficient in computer design programs (Adobe In-Design, Photoshop and Illustrator, Flash and knowledge of web design as well as printing and production. Continuous learning regarding new software applications and multimedia platforms is required. This position reports to a creative manager and works closely with members of the Client Solutions team. This individual develops creative solutions and concepts to communicate DMP’s value proposition to advertisers and advertising prospects, producing advertisements and sales collateral across platforms.
At least two years experience in digital and print media design or equivalent experience are required. Knowledge of Flash, InDesign, PhotoShop, with web graphics optimization techniques preferred and HTML knowledge a plus, along with both Mac and Windows skills. Will utilize Macintosh computers and software packages and must have a working knowledge of scripting and web site design. Design samples required.
