Senior MUMPS Developer Responsibilities:
Participate in design activities to include all construct system design documentation Formulate and define systems scope and develop software based on both user needs and a good understanding of information technology, business processes, and industry requirements Apply extensive knowledge of the customer's business and industry Develops software programs Participate in the detailed system design shall to include: development of detailed data and process models, program specifications, interface specifications, screen and report designs, program control specifications and/or teleprocessing considerations Assist in establishing the detailed system architectures to include: system schematics, including system and subsystem performance-based descriptions, and key interfaces between them Assist in defining hardware and software specifications to include: sizing and performance requirements, systems and subsystem, interface requirements, and systems control requirements Define program specifications to include: detailed processing logic for each module, data dictionary entries for parameter data and a list of compile and load units for each design unit and their component modules Make necessary software changes and perform unit testing on code Senior MUMPS Developer Qualifications: Must have 5 - 7 years experience in M (MUMPS) programming Prefer a B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience Must have experience working in a structured environment Experience programming in high-volume transaction based environments desired Knowledge of Health Level Seven (HL7) messaging protocol a plus Experience with Rational Tools - Clearquest, Clear Case a plus Must have experience interacting with customers to obtain requirements and garner approval Must have experience interacting with analysts, developers and quality assurance team members to provide assistance with requirements and design specifications Healthcare IT background a plus Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
