NCM3 Integration and System Engineer (Job Number: 321448)

SAIC is looking for a dedicated employee willing to work in a fast paced environment supporting the NCM3 contract by performing the duties as the Test, Integration and Systems Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analysis, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems on the NCM3 system in conjunction with the Project Engineer; responsible for executing engineering activities such as defining system requirements, developing technical solutions, performing systems functional analysis, conducting trade studies, conducting technical reviews, and/or performing test and evaluation activities. Primary duties will include technical analysis of system requirements and accomplishing trade studies to quantify performance capabilities, cost, and risk in support of the NCM3 integration efforts. This position will require the successful candidate to develop engineering schedules and systems engineering documentation; conduct engineering analyses of systems and/or processes; support risk and configuration management activities; develop cost estimates for engineering approaches or mitigation strategies; prepare technical or project status reports; coordinate, prepare for and conduct technical reviews throughout the system lifecycle; support continuous process improvement; and work in an Integrated Product/Process Team environment. Successful candidate will interact daily with supervisors and functional peer groups and with outside customers, and will be responsible for the technical direction. May provide design guidance to a team of multi-disciplinary personnel to ensure congruence of the various hardware, software, communications and interface approaches for system integration. Ancillary responsibilities will include but not be limited to analyzing project; developing and reviewing technical documentation; researching and evaluating process tools and methods; documenting and improving processes; and maintaining familiarity with relevant standards. This position works as a member of team of analysts, engineers, and scientists working in support of Department of Defense programs. As such, this position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to exercise professional discretion, and an understanding of technical and operational concepts.



Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field from an accredited college/university or addition of 5 years to overall experience (equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree). Demonstrated experience in concept development, requirements generation, system design and/or specification development. Strong written and oral communications skills are paramount; must demonstrate successful experience writing documents of a technical nature, and developing/ presenting technical briefings.
