National Oilwell Varco (NOV) has an immediate opening for an ASNT certified NDT Level III candidate in the methods of Penetrant Testing (PT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Radiographic Testing (RT). The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our global organization in developing, qualifying, approving, and standardizing procedures; establishing and approving techniques; interpreting codes, standards, specifications, and procedures and defining the appropriate NDT methods, techniques, and procedures to be used; interpreting and evaluating results; establishing acceptance criteria where required; documenting interpretations and evaluations for presentation and distribution; provide instruction and training; and represent NOV as a recognized expert in discussions regarding NDE with our customers, vendors, and internal personnel.
Additionally, the candidate must have a strong background in all aspects of Quality Assurance and experience with Root Cause Analysis techniques. The candidate will also assist in the design, installation, and evaluation of Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes, sampling systems, procedures, and statistical techniques; design or specify inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; analyze production and service limitations and standards and recommend revision of specifications when required; formulates or helps formulate QA/QC policies and procedures; conducts training on QA/QC concepts and tools; and interfaces with all other functions within the business unit, with customers, suppliers, and 3
party inspection agencies on quality related issues.

Current ASNT Certified NDT Level III in PT, UT, MT, and RT
Ability to achieve NDT Level III renewal requirements for continued certification
Minimum of five (5) year’s Level II experience or equivalent
Strong background in report development and presentation of findings
Excellent communication skills in discussion of NDT related support
Must be able to work well with others in all different types of environments
The candidate must be able to travel approximately 25% of the time
Degree in field of Materials Science, Welding Engineering, Metallurgy, Electrical Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering
AWS Certified Weld Inspector (CWI)
Level I or II certification or experience in Eddy Current (ET) testing
Experience with Oilfield Drilling Equipment
