This position will be located at a regional office in the Midwest, either the Plainfield, IN or Cincinnati, OH office.
Depending upon the desired qualifications of the successful candidate, the hiring manager may elect to fill this position at a higher level within the job hierarchy.
Perform New NERC CIP Implementation Activities which include applying cyber security controls on process networks at generation facilities.
Support Process System Upgrades and Process System Equipment Projects to meet cyber security requirements:
With limited supervision:
NERC CIP Compliance Program
Carries out assigned tasks in support of NERC CIP compliance program
Demonstrates basic knowledge of NERC CIP and related technologies and controls
Provides input for responses to legal and regulatory inquiries.
Displays basic knowledge in the use of tools and procedures for the NERC CIP program
Project Management
Carries out individual work assignments of a less complex nature to meet established work schedules.
Receives work assignments and works with review and direction.
Performs technical project work as needed to complete project deliverables.
Process and Controls Awareness
Basic knowledge of NERC CIP policy, standards, processes, resources and controls.
Able to apply process and controls knowledge to meet compliance requirements.
Provides input on process improvements to NERC CIP compliance program.
Customer Relationship Management
Communicates with customers to understand compliance requirements
Communicates problems and resolutions to manager and/or customers
Basic knowledge of NERC CIP compliance and its impact on business operations and support functions
Qualifications
:
Basic Qualifications:
Associates in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; OR, 2 years utility, cyber security, auditing, compliance, regulatory or related experience in lieu of a degree
1-2 years experience with audit skills, controls, security and related industry regulatory issues
1-2 years experience managing confidential information with a high degree of integrity
Responds well to supervisors, is easy to challenge and develop, and is easily coachable
Demonstrates good listening skills and puts forth the effort to understand others points of view
Specific Training:
Must pass a personnel risk assessment including 7 year background screening and annual cyber security training
