Job Details:

We are looking for an EEG tech to help our department grow. Will perform EEG’s on Adult Inpatients and Outpatients as well as Pediatric EEG’s on Outpatients older than 8 years old.


Associate Degree and/or Certificate from Accredited Electroneurodiagnostic program

Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred)

Current BCLS Certification required

Related Work Experience and Other Skills

Education and training in neurophysiology with clinical or practical experience a must

NEUROPHYSIOLOGY TECH 1 20444-0810 Proficiency Level

Applies electrodes according to the International 10/20 System of electrode placement and checks performance prior to collecting data. -
Keeps accurate documentation for all tests and maintain follow-up information on all infants who fail birth admission screening as required by the State of Texas. -
Maintains needed testing supplies. -
Maintains optimal operating efficiency of equipment by timely and accurate detection, repairing and reporting of breakdowns. -
Participates in in-service education for performance enhancement. -
Performs clerical duties for the Neuroscience center to include but no limited to: screening incoming telephone calls and routing to the appropriate area, receives visitors and patients, order and maintain inventory of supplies within budget , schedule appointments, file, distribute, transcribe and/or mail reports, schedule requested tests -
Performs hearing screen using Otoacoustic Emissions(OAE) and/or Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR). -
Performs standard, readable and reliable EEG recordings and with supervision, performs more complex neurodiagnostic studies to include assigning identification numbers to all records for identification, listing of current medications which may alter brainwave activity, obtaining history, notating level of consciousness and abnormal clinical phenomena and eliminating artifacts and interference. -
