Overview of the Job:
The Miami HEAT is seeking to hire a New Media Coordinator who has worked on highly successful social media campaigns in the past. This is a full time position dedicated to the promotion of The Miami HEAT via Facebook, Twitter, and the rest of the social media universe. The ideal candidate will have experience representing a brands social media presence, have great writing skills, and a vast knowledge of basketball. Some responsibiltes of the position include: Post content on Miami HEAT social networks. (Content will be provided by Director and some content will be original) Develop and execute cross-platform social programs, including corporate partner initiatives. Cover designated HEAT games and events, providing content through our social networks. Monitor trends in social media platforms, tools, and applications. Utilize various tools to provide social analytics to maximize social media efforts and provide campaign results. Responsible for monitoring social media. (handle, respond &/or refer requests to appropriate departments for sales leads or customer service action) Monitor and protect brand within social networking sites. (includes moderating message boards) Work closely with Creative Services to ensure social network presence is in line with overall Marketing plan and style
Bachelors degree in a business related field. Minimum of two years in a Social Media role. Strong writing, creative, and analytical skills. In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms. Strong technical knowledge of the game of basketball. Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format. Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work non-traditional hours when needed. Self-starter with strong organization skills; ability to seek out, identify and take advantage of opportunities with minimal supervision. Explicit attention to detail. Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator skills a plus.
