National Governors Association, the bi-partisan organization of the nation's governors, is hiring an intern for a 10-week assignment beginning in June 2013. We are one of Washington, D.C.'s most respected public policy organizations and a great place to work.

General intern responsibilities will be related to health reform in states, public health initiatives and practices, coverage initiatives, Medicaid reform, health information technology and quality assurance. Specific projects will require the intern to engage in data collection, research, and writing associated with NGA Center's work on state health system transformation, public health, maternal and child health, Medicaid, workforce and state coverage initiatives. Individual responsibilities will be tailored to the student's qualifications, interest, and the needs of the Division.

QUALIFICATIONS: The candidate should be a graduate student in a health related field, public policy, political science or social sciences. The candidate should also have strong analytical skills, and excellent writing and oral communications skills. Basic knowledge of health care delivery systems is required.
