This position is a graveyard shift position - 11pm to 8am.
This position is located in our El Segundo (90245) office.
The Network Operation Centre (NOC) has four main roles:
NOC has the responsibility of monitoring and maintaining the network, servers and any telecommunications equipment.
NOC has the responsibility to monitor application availability
When a system malfunctions, the NOC technician troubleshoots the network, makes repairs and gets the system back up as quickly as possible.
The NOC is responsible to notify and coordinate all resources necessary to resolve issues.
About Your Duties:
In this position, you will be responsible for:
Monitoring all network, server, and applications within the BeachBody infrastructure.
Responding appropriately to system alerts or highlighted console messages.
Acting as first tier in alert response and incident/problem resolution.
Perform inginitial investigations and troubleshooting steps to determine root causes.
Initiating corrective action or carries out instructions to resolve system problems.
Central point of contact for resolution of any vendor related issues.
Providing assistance to engineering teams by diagnostic procedures, and executes system startup and shutdown procedures as requested.
Identifying and escalates problems involving job streams, resource contention, system outages and other components of production processing.
Ensuring timely and effective resolution of all production processing related issues providing technical and procedural support.
Ensuring accurate follow-up and tracking of issues on ticketing system software.
Coordinating issue resolution with other support areas, such as Production Support and Development.
Providing necessary support to other IT teams to meet overall objectives as needed.
Maintenance of WIKI and technical documentation (for NOC) of processes and procedures used throughout normal operations.
Development of knowledge and skills in network and system administration, particularly with regard to BeachBody's own architecture and platforms.
Participating in a 24x7 call-out rotation if required.
Performing other duties as needed.
About Your Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
A minimum of 3-5 years experience in a technical support environment.
Minimum 4 years combined Windows & Unix/Linux experience.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Experience with some system monitoring tools (Nagios, Application Engine, Solarwinds).
Experience with CMDB’s (Service Now, Remedy, HP)
Good communicator with a natural aptitude for dealing with people.
Good network diagnostic skills.
Intermediate Linux CLI skills.
Intermediate System Administration skills.
Works well in a busy team, being quick to learn and able to deal with a wide range of issues.
Strong analytical skills and able to collate and interpret data from various sources.
Ability to assess and prioritize faults and respond or escalate accordingly. (Strong organization and prioritization skills.)
Self driven and results oriented.
Ability to succeed in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment, without compromising project success factors.
Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure.
Is accountable for results, approaches obstacles proactively and looks for ways to resolve problems and issues.
