This position performs a variety of engineering tasks and activities including installation, imports, processing, troubleshooting and testing, primarily within the Nuix environment. This position is expected to conduct necessary discussions with forensic examiners and litigation support professionals in order to meet client needs. Individuals must be able to communicate effectively with both technicians and business users fluidly, without alienating either side of the room.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities independently, which are concerned with installation, processing, analysis, and testing.
Must be able to engineer various solutions for Nuix projects and operational needs, provide technical consultation on current and proposed issues to team members.
Create and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution.
Support Nuix installation and integration with other systems.
Work with clients on analytics and early case assessment.
Manage and document system configurations.
Must be able to enhance the existing system and participate in analysis, design and new construction of next generations.
Work within the confines of the Nuix system to perform workflows including import, export, simple culling, as we well as scripting.
Perform technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the Nuix infrastructure.
Assist project teams with technical issues in the initiation and planning phases of standard project management methodology.
Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced team members.
Contribute knowledge and skills to other projects internally such as testing new technologies, creating best practice articles for clients and benchmarking performance for improvements.
Troubleshoot issues and document solutions within existing systems.
Attend bi-monthly, quarterly and annual company meetings.
May be asked to perform other duties not listed in this job description as required by business needs.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
1 - 3 years prior experience working with Nuix, including importing, exporting, culling and scripting.
3 – 5 years proven experience with various scripting languages including Ruby, Python, SQL as it relates to large data.
Expert level capabilities as pertains to all phases of testing within the SDLC.
3 – 5 years experience working with large data sets (50 – 200 TB).
This position constantly communicates with members of the company, outside vendors, clients and staff. Employee must be able to confidently and accurately communicate in both written and verbal form in order to successfully present technical information to non-technical people.
Flexibility regarding work schedule to meet position needs outside of regular business hours.
The ability to seek out answers in the absence of formal direction.
This position has access to a variety of confidential information. Individual must maintain confidentiality at all times.
Individuals must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without an accommodation.
Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints.

Preferred:
Familiarity with testing related to Web, Java, Ruby, JRuby, XML, DHTMLX, Highcharts, and Geotagging technologies.
Prior experience working with various EDD processing tools (LAW, IPRO) is a plus.
Prior experience working with various Forensic Tool Kits (EnCase, AccessData).
Experience working with various ECA tools (Nuix, Clearwell, Recommind, Autonomy, Digital Reef).
