Supervisor is responsible for the delivery of quality nursing care
for all patients on the In-patient
and RTC units. The Nurse
Supervisor will adjust staffing as necessary for the
evening, night and weekend shifts. The Nurse Supervisor will oversee all unit activities including, but not limited
to, admissions, discharges, crisis intervention, restraint and/or seclusion, Baker Acts,
relieving for break or meals. The Nurse Superviosr manages the Mental Health
Techs working on the unit as part of the nursing team, administers prescribed medications and
provides medication for the nursing staff when the Pharmacy is closed. The Nurse Supervisor will
coordinate all medical codes,
whether real or mock, and ensure they are carried out
appropriately and safely.
Graduate of an accredited school of professional
nursing. Requires five (5) years
experience as a Registered Nurse. Prefer two (2) in psychiatric
of current nursing procedures, the nursing
process, medications and their correct administration.
Currently licensed as a
Registered Nurse in the State of Florida . Prefer AMA certification
in psychiatric nursing. Demonstrated leadership, communication, teaching and management skills. Work is physically and mentally demanding.
Extensive walking, standing, sitting and climbing stairs. Must be able to lift or move
over fifty (50) pounds
