The Manager of Quality Improvement and Infection Control is accountable for programs and processes related to hospital-wide quality outcomes/improvement activities, infection control, peer review and pay for performance contracts. S/he will work on a daily basis with a wide variety of Management and Clinical staff to ensure compliance with external reporting requirements and mandates as they relate to quality, infection control and peer review. Measurement components consist of all pay for performance indicators, as well as all Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) and Leapfrog indicators. These data may also include, but are not limited to, HCAHPS, Hospital Quality Measures, National Health Safety Network (NHSN), Culture of Safety, National Quality Forum (NQF) and Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) measures.


Day Shift


Demonstrated experience leading and managing multiple enterprise-wide projects and deadlines. Knowledge of state and federal regulations specific to external reporting mandates. Knowledge of contract terms and withhold measurements. Demonstrated leadership in establishing reliable processes for improvement. Demonstrated statistical application to improvement processes (i.e. High Reliability, Six Sigma, and Lean). Demonstrated and documented leadership and presentation experience. Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MediTech, UHC, and rL Solutions products). Bachelors in healthcare required. Masters in Healthcare Management, Nursing, Pharmacy or equivalent clinical degree (i.e. MD, PA) preferred. Five (5) to ten (10) years minimum experience in quality measurement/improvement, infection control, pay-for-performance, and/or peer review. Experience with pay-for-performance contracting. Experience in supervising staff. Experience with labor relations a plus. If nursing or other clinical field, Massachusetts State licensure required. CPHQ preferred.
