The Named Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue within a set list of large accounts, positioning the Silver-Peak Solution, and managing sales opportunities from start to finish. This individual must specialize in developing relationships high and wide within large enterprise accounts to locate and uncover sales opportunities.
The motivated candidate will qualify and prioritize prospects; generate individual opportunities; and prospect through personal networking and relationship building. The ideal candidate must have 10+ years of software or hardware sales experience in the Network or Storage space. In addition, the ideal candidate must show a demonstrated success in exceeding annual quota, and be experienced closing transactions worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. Candidates will have a proven track record of 'getting in front of the customer' and be primarily "hunters" as opposed to "farmers".
This position requires a high level of activity and the individual will have an understanding of the “rhythm” of selling to achieve both quarterly and annual objectives, have excellent oral / written presentation skills, and a documented track record of success with large enterprise accounts in the NYC metro area is a must. The ideal candidate is highly consultative in their approach, creative in their thinking, and a true Strategic Account executive.

Create and execute a plan for building demand within named accounts in NY Metro
Canvas, qualify, analyze needs, present, and close opportunities within named account set
Build new quality customer and partner relationships.

Update Salesforce.com daily
RFP/RFI Responses in conjunction with support personnel
Manage complex sales cycles
Experience managing large strategic relationships; VP and C-level F500 relationship experience a plus
Exceptional interpersonal skills, written/verbal communication, and presentation to business and technical audiences
NYC Metro area based
10+ years experience working in a sales capacity for a high-tech software or hardware company, with a strong aptitude for technology
Ability to travel (20%).
