Reports to the Director, National Accounts. Designs and oversees delivery of Risk Control services to assigned accounts and CSS clients country-wide. Manages expenses and responds to customer needs. Markets and sells Risk Control services. Works with Account Executives to acquire and retain National Accounts business. Provides technical advice and account information to underwriting business partners for risk assessment and analysis.

Serve as resource to Account Executive in development of insurance deal and account retention strategies.

Consult with clients on strategies for controlling hazards to reduce or prevent losses. Influence clients to implement recommendations. Develop comprehensive plan for services to be delivered, appropriate resources to be used, and pricing approach. Negotiate with and manage client expectations to achieve appropriate balance between service and cost.

Design and document service specifications for assigned accounts. Ensure appropriate resources are available. Monitor and manage country-wide delivery of services to insure compliance with specifications and control of costs.

Maintain and cultivate relationships with existing clients. Serve as client contact for Risk Control service issues.

Build and maintain productive relationships with underwriting and service teams assigned to the business, with the broker/agent community, with Claim, with other Risk Control staff, and with clients.

Develop and document success stories relating to measurable reductions in loss frequency and/or severity.

Maintain current knowledge of regulatory environment and emerging safety issues. Apply knowledge of regulatory requirements in multiple states to design of service plans for National Accounts.

Apply the Safety Management System concepts in helping clients develop ongoing systems for continuous safety improvement.

Maintain current knowledge of Risk Control service products. Work with client on the application of Risk Control service products that will result in loss reduction and/or achieving client risk management goals.

May also perform functions of Risk Control Consultant as workloads demand.

Maintain timely, relevant communications with the Director, National Accounts.

Maintains Certified Safety Professional or Assoc. In Risk Management designation
Has mastered Account Consultant Workstation and all relevant Risk Control computer systems applications for field engineers
Handles assignments in all lines and technical disciplines

Resource Management:
Makes sound judgments about appropriate service levels for customers
Effectively assesses resource requirements and manages deployment of resources in support of the customer
Continually assesses workload in light of business priorities; directs own efforts accordingly
Identifies methods for improving personal productivity

Customer Service:
Balances customer expectations and expense constraints
Builds credibility with internal and external customers
Creates customer satisfaction by Analyzing loss information to identify root causes and develop loss sensitive recommendations
