National Account Sales Manager Job Description:

The National Sales Manager role is responsible for generating group business from a national market. The primary objective is to maximize revenue generation and market penetration from within the corporate market segment. This includes, but is not limited to the nurturing of existing good accounts and feeder markets, developing known high potential markets and the identification of emerging sources of business. This position serves as a Lucky Strike Entertainment product expert and is also responsible for serving as a positive and knowledgeable advocate of the entire Lucky Strike Entertainment portfolio. The position requires a thorough understanding of direct sales and account management. Must be able to multi-task, problem solve, manage administrative expectations, all while being flexible and adapting to different situations. Due to the intensity of interaction, excellent inter-personal skills are a must.

  • Apply proactive and strategic sales approach to business solicitation including but not limited to; phone solicitation, customer appointments, sales missions/blitzes, tradeshow participation, on-line research and customer engagement
  • Align Lucky Strike Entertainment with beneficial and strategic sponsorship within the corporate and non-profit world Nationally and in local markets
  • Dedicate a majority of time to direct telephone sales, email prospecting, internet prospecting, and direct cold calls within assigned markets
  • Make personal visits when necessary to target areas to call upon accounts located in a specific market or area
  • Book national meetings, sales meetings, educational conferences, and incentive programs from a variety of corporate accounts (i.e. Financial, Insurance, Healthcare, and SMERF)
  • Respond to all correspondence from assigned areas and trace dates for reworking and follow up
  • Set-up site tours with appropriate venue communication, planning, and follow up
  • Attend trade shows, meetings, seminars, and functions while maintaining Association & Networking Memberships
  • Serve as an active participant in all Lucky Strike Entertainment related sales programs. Serve as a positive advocate for sister properties within the portfolio
  • Maintain constant contact with on-site ESM (Event Sales Manager)
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with CVBs & other like Organizations that interact with Convention Groups
  • Develop new accounts by demonstrating the ability to identify potential new customers through the affiliate membership of associations
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and make recommendations of changes which would impact operations
  • Maintain accurate sales productivity forecasts, manage budgeted expenses, and recap information
  • Must be able to effectively deal with internal and external clients, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger leading to conflict resolution.

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in an event sales role or closely related direct sales position required
  • Prior experience selling private event space and experience in a property with a dominant group business mix is highly desirable
  • Knowledge in computer systems related to account and yield management and technical proficiency in Microsoft applications is required
  • Customer service experience in a high-volume environment is necessary for success in this role, with the ability to problem solve, identify and find solutions
  • A strong financial competency is highly desired

Education or Formal Training:
  • At least 5 yrs. relevant Sales experience
  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • National multi-unit sales experience preferred
  • Industry certifications a plus
