Time Warner Cable Corporate currently seeks a National Channel Manager for our Business Services Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
Essential Job Functions:
The primary responsibility for this position is to identify, recruit, and develop qualified channel partners that will generate revenue based on selling Time Warner Cable's Business Class products and services. In addition, the National Channel manager's responsibilities include managing established Master Agent partners across the Time Warner Cable footprint. Develop strategic business plans to drive revenue through the partner channel.
Recruit, enable, and retain our qualified channel partners. Create strategic business plans and monthly/quarterly revenue targets with Master Agents, and premier sub-agents.
Organize on-board training program to ensure our partners are certified to sell business class products and services. Develop communications plan with Master Agents & sub-agents to drive market awareness of TWCBC, promote new product announcements and marketing/sales incentives to drive revenue growth. Responsible for all sales support for Master Agent account base that includes: assisting partners to close business, single point of contact to engage sales engineering resources to close large complex single or multi-regional deals across our footprint.
Attend weekly strategy meetings with the partners to create accurate sales pipeline reports on all partner activity. Conduct monthly reviews with Senior Channel Executives to ensure partners are hitting established revenue targets. Identify any negative trends impacting sales and provide necessary problem/resolution to the partners. A thorough understanding of Voice (PRI, VOIP Applications), Data (TDM, DS3, OCn, & Ethernet services), equipment vendors (Nortel, Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, etc.), and managed services is required.
Create and maintain account plans.
Conduct Account reviews with Senior Channel Executives (Corporate and Regional) on a monthly and quarterly basis. Conduct customer presentations & generate pricing/proposals as required to support the Master Agents. Manages Administration by ensuring the following processes are being completed: SalesForce.com reports, Project Plans, Business Cases, Travel Forms, Etc. Key Stakeholder for receiving, responding, & answering RFP/RFI requests for our business partners. 100% of sales activity will be focused on acquisition of new revenue from our channel partners.
A minimum of 8 years of relevant telecommunications sales and sales management experience working in a third party, reseller, or systems integrator channel. Proven track record exceeding revenue quota targets selling and managing third party partners at a ILEC, CLEC, or a national systems integrator.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
