This position is responsible for selection, training, and on-going support of patient navigators who will provide evidence based health education classes such as Living Well, NDPP, Chronic Pain self management and community outreach activities for MaineGeneral Health. Works cooperatively with MaineGeneral Medical Center (MGMC) volunteer services, primary care practice staff, the community care team, and the prevention center team of health educators and patient navigators, to assure the development and maintenance of a peer navigator team who oversees evidence programs with fidelity.

Qualifications/Competencies :
Certified Health Education Specialist required
Bachelor’s degree in Community Health Education or related field preferred.

1 year or more of relevant experience preferred. Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications . Must be self-directed and have strong verbal and oral communication skills.
