Duties include:
Monitors components of the IT infrastructure to ensure function and performance; actively looks for opportunities to optimize performance; troubleshoots, resolves and documents infrastructure problems and issues
• Ensures the integrity and availability of system backups and participates in disaster recovery/business continuity planning
• Performs hardware and software upgrades; coordinates and schedules regular system maintenance while minimizing downtime; clearly communicates maintenance schedules and consequences
• Systems administration: User Mgmt, on/off-site backup, security, AD, DNS and DHCP
• Properly configure switches, firewalls, routers and load balancers
• Provide remote and onsite support for our IT infrastructure including, email, desktops, servers and networks
• Configure and maintain servers (See Requirements Below)
• Properly segment network traffic
• Update and configure the email bounce engine to properly handle different bounce types
• Ensure Primary and Secondary DNS servers are consistent
• Extending Volume managed partitions
• SNMP monitoring
• Monitoring Disk Space
• DNS Management
• Perform virus removal, server and workstation maintenance and repair
Requirements:
Workstations: Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2000 Required (98, 95, 3 a plus)
• Servers: Good Working Knowledge: 2008 SBS, 2008 & 2008 R2
• Servers: Strong Working Knowledge: Windows 2003 & 2003 SBS
• Servers: Windows 2K, NT4 & 3.51, Linux
• Servers: – VMware is a strong plus – some technical training on VMware may be provided for the qualified candidate
• Platforms: Strong Working Knowledge Exchange 2003 & 2007
• Platforms: Good Working Knowledge: SQL 2000, 2003 & 2008
• Applications: Strong Working Knowledge: MS Office 2003 and Office 2007
• Applications: Working Knowledge: MS Office 2000 and Office 2010
• Strong network troubleshooting TCP/IP, VPN, Firewalls
• Microsoft Active Directory & Strong DNS Knowledge
• Setup and manage IP address and subnets as well as DNS entries
• Experience with Symantec Backup Exec
• Experience with email marketing domain.
• Experience with SAN/NAS Technology
