Job Summary:
Sets up, configures, and supports internal and/or external networks. Develops and maintains systems, security, and network configurations; leads projects; assists in the creation of processes for procedures and operations recommending solutions and network strategies for security, growth and enhancements maximizing functionality of network equipment user, file rights and connectivity. Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Performs routine and emergency maintenance of all data closet infrastructure equipment. Designs, installs and troubleshoots DHCP based LAN/WANs and DCHP-based routing and bridging solutions. Provides network performance monitoring and analysis evaluating LAN/WAN changes, additions and reconfigurations as well as capacity planning and testing. Develops detailed network specifications. Interfaces with vendors and suppliers to ensure adequate delivery and maintenance of equipment and services. Contributes to the development and administration of network backup and recovery plan to maintain systems operation. Identifies and corrects faults and provides resolution of complex problem tickets. This position occasionally attends training, conferences, or seminars for which air travel may be required.

Knowledge & Skills Required:
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, project management, network monitoring, and management tools
Knowledge of network services processes and strategies

Education & Experience Required:
Associate’s degree from a college or university in Information Systems, Computer Sciences or related field
One year additional experience or additional certification
Two years related work experience

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration Required:
Additional certification also required (CCNA, etc.) or one additional year Network Administrator experience
Network Administrator certification required

Ability to frequently stand, walk and sit; and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Ability to regularly lift and/or move from 10 to 50 pounds up to 50% of work time
