BHN, the leading Behavioral Health provider for Western Massachusetts, has a challenging opportunity for a Network Administrator. The Network Administrator will maintain, repair and reform the network or computing environment; support, manage, and ensure operating capability of the physical and virtual LAN and WAN networks; troubleshoot computing systems, networks, and applications to identify malfunctions and correct them as well as other operational difficulties; maintain the Network Security, as well as other networking responsibilities.
To be considered, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field or 7-10 years’ experience working with networks. Requisite skills include an extensive knowledge of server operating systems (Window server, NetWare, Linux), MS Exchange, VMware, Citrix, FTP, DHCP, TCPIP, DNS, Sophos, workstation and server maintenance and networking technologies including working with switches, firewalls and routers.
Must be self-directed and comfortable interacting with all level of end-users.
Must be detail oriented.
Methodical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently as well as a team player.
Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, contractors, and purchasing agents.
Strong customer service skills required.
