Community Resources for Justice (CRJ) is seeking dynamic Network Administrator with a high level of integrity and professionalism to work in the administrative offices in the Boston.

Social Justice Services transitions ex offenders back into mainstream society and diverts at-risk youth away from crime and toward a productive and fulfilling life;

The Network Administrator will advise, consult, and assist in the planning, installation, integration, configuration, testing, implementation and management of CRJ's networks and server infrastructure environment. This includes but is not limited to Windows Server environments (2003 and up), MS SQL (2005 and up). It could also require to administer and support Linux/Unix servers. Particular attention will be required to support and maintain the Accounting Department SQL based software.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice and consultation during the development, testing, and implementation of new network technologies.
Monitor the functionality and state of all network devices
Analyze and troubleshoot reported problems and recommend solutions.
Install, upgrade or replace existing network hardware as required.
Carry out preventive maintenance and monitor network devices performance.
Perform system log analysis.
Create and revise current network diagrams and documentation.
Documentation of all training and mentoring of staff.
Telephone lines, sets and pbx troubleshooting and reporting and escalation to the Director of Technological Services for external service requests when problems cannot be solved internally
Troubleshooting and networking of copier, printers, scanners
Other tasks as indicated by the Director of Technological Services
Problem Solving & Decision Making
CRJ is looking for individuals with advanced problem solving skills, proven team building skills, energy, and strong communication skills.
Windows server administration
Microsoft SQL administration
Solid written and verbal communications skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or at least 3 years of related experience.
Microsoft VPN networking
Microsoft Exchange Server Administration
MYSQL / PHP
