DLB is seeking a Network Administrator for our NJ office.
Responsibilities
The Network Administrator duties include but are not limited to:
• Design, specify, configure, install, and maintain LAN / WAN hardware, software and telecommunication services
• Establish and maintain network user administration, file storage and security
• Manage performance and integrity of the network
• Propose and implement system enhancements or upgrades to improve performance and reliability of the system
• Participate in new solution requirements development, architecture and design, project planning, execution, and ongoing support and maintenance
• Develop and maintain documentation of all processes associated with administering the network
• Participate in troubleshooting desktop hardware and software problems experienced by end users
• Ensure compliances with policies and procedures related to network hardware, software, security and backup
• Work as part of the IT team
Administration includes but not limited to:
• Microsoft Windows, VMware environment, Exchange Server, MS SQL Server, EMC Storage System, Citrix and VPN connectivity
• Cisco Hardware
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
• Have a Bachelor Degree; preferably BS / BA in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
• Be Microsoft certified - MCSE, MCITP, or MCA
• Be Cisco certified - CCNA preferred
• Have a minimum of 5 years’ overall experience in information technology
• Possess the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel
• Possess a high level of problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Be team-oriented
• Possess good organizational, written, and oral communications skills,
• Have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
• Be comfortable working across all business and technical boundaries
• Be capable of brokering solutions with a diverse customer base
The preferred candidate for this position can demonstrate the following technical knowledge or experience:
• Cisco Switches, Routers, ASA, Wireless LAN Controllers and ACS
• Configuration and maintenance of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy
• Network management for multiple sites
• System backup CommVault in conjunction with tape backups, tape libraries and disk arrays
• Broad experience supporting the Windows platform, including hardware, software, and a variety of peripherals
• Software deployment tools, automation and scripting
• Microsoft Office 2007/2010, and other Microsoft applications
• Windows 7/2003/2008/ MAC OS X
• Skill in providing confident and polite customer service
• Multitasking and working under pressure
