We are currently seeking a Network Admin to work at our client site in Washington, DC. This is a full-time employee position with Digicon Corporation.

Position Description :
The position is on-site at government facility in downtown Washington, DC providing support and maintenance to a medium-size enterprise-wide Microsoft Windows/Cisco infrastructure. Environment includes Cisco routers, switches and hubs; Windows Servers and Desktop Computers, DELL Laptops, Active Directory, Exchange/Outlook email, and Windows Terminal Server. Candidate will provide general network administration and Tier 2 Help Desk support.

Manage user accounts and access to network resources.

Reset password and access permissions on demand

Support desk-side technicians in equipment installations, moves, adds & changes

Manage user email distribution lists

Manage network print queues, troubleshooting and resolving queue problems

Update printer drivers installed on servers as required

Manage general Multifunction Device (MFD) operations

Manage release of email quarantined because of suspected security issues

Support Terminal Server and Virtual PC

Miscellaneous desktop/ network operations related task

Position Requirements :
Knowledge of Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, Windows XP and Vista

Knowledge of Windows Terminal Server 2003/2008

Experience with Symantec or similar security software

Basic knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, switching and routing concepts, network printers, network devices, configuration and topology.

Work experience in Tier 2 Help Desk Support using an automated system like FootPrint, Remedy or Heat.

Strong customer service skills and attitude

Ability to work in a fast paced team environment with minimal direction

2 - 4 years experience in network administration support in a similar complex environment

Excellent problem-solving/root cause analysis skills

Collaborate with senior staff and client to resolve complex problems

Education/Training/Certifications Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems

Additional Skills and Experience Desired:
Microsoft certifications a plus
