Eurofins US is searching for a Network Administrator to be based out of Des Moines, IA. The appropriate candidate will deploy and operate Information Technology Infrastructure systems and ensure a high level of performance, stability, availability of Information Technology Infrastructure systems through careful analysis and monitoring of the systems. Network Administrator responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Document all Information Technology issues as they are reported using the JIRA Issue Tracker system
  • Provision, build, configure, and deploy physical and virtual servers in the regional datacenter(s) or local BU site
  • Monitor, tune, trend analysis, and performance optimization of physical and virtual servers
  • Backup, restore, and monitor backup jobs for critical data on physical and virtual servers located in the regional datacenter(s) or local BU site
  • Recover failed physical and virtual servers in the event of a catastrophic failure
  • Coordinate long term offsite storage of data backups (tapes storage)
  • Build, configure, and deploy storage (SAN) systems in the regional datacenter(s) or local BU site
  • Monitoring, tuning, trend analysis, and performance optimization of storage (SAN) systems
  • Backup, restore, and monitor backup jobs for critical data on storage systems located in the regional datacenter(s) or local BU site
  • Recover failed storage systems in the event of a catastrophic failure
  • Monitor, analyze, and remediate security breaches at the regional datacenter(s) ingress points
  • Monitoring, tuning, trend analysis, and performance optimization of MS Active Directory, MS Exchange, MS ISA, MS PKI, VMWare, VDI, RES, and Citrix
  • Recover MS Active Directory, MS Exchange, MS ISA, MS PKI, VMWare, VDI, RES, and Citrix systems in the event of a catastrophic failure
  • Provide frontline support of business platform applications, working with Information Technology Solutions and/or software vendors to coordinate resolution of technical issues
  • Participate in an after-hours (24x7) support on-call rotation The ideal candidate would possess:
  • Excellent computer, troubleshooting, problem solving, and organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills for work in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Ability to multitask and operate with minimal supervision, adjusting priorities accordingly
  • Able to maintain professional demeanor under stress
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to changes in technology
  • Experience supporting VPN connections (Cisco VPN preferred) Basic Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
  • At least five years of experience with Information Technology hardware and software support
  • Previous work experience in a Network Administrator or equivalent position required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows XP/7/2003/2008 operating systems, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office
  • Proficient with workstation, laptop, and printer hardware
  • Proficiency with MS Active Directory, MS Exchange, and VMWare required
  • Proficiency with at least two (MS ISA, MS PKI, VDI, RES, and Citrix) required
  • Experience supporting mobile devices (Blackberry, iPhone, iPad)
  • Experience with network connectivity and cabling required
  • Occasional travel, both domestic and international required
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.
