Candidate will support the Network Management Control Center in performing routine and scheduled deployments of patches, fixes, upgrades and new installations of network equipment from multiple vendors. Candidate will support both local and remote deployments, co-ordinate deployment activates with thefield staff, and transition support of newly deployed or updated systems to monitoring staff.
Candidate will also be responsible for presenting maintenance/deployment plans to Change Control Board for approval, working with project management staff to provide technical expertise and direction on scheduling and resource support requirements for planned events, and ensuring all change plans are properly recorded and receive necessary approvals.
Experience managing a large enterprise network, including LAN and WAN technologies based on Cisco and/or Avaya hardware and platforms.
Experience working in a Network Operation Center (NOC) environment, responding to trouble tickets and alerts.
Expertise in networking concepts and equipment including IPv4 and IPv6, MPLS, PLS and SIP, Routers, Switches, Load Balancers, Protocol analyzers, and probes.
Candidate must have the ability to work as part of a operations team and be able to support multiple tasks at the same time.
Experience working with WAN vendors and the provisioning of WAN circuits
Either Cisco CCNA (or higher) or Avaya ACIS certification.
Experience working with Cisco Call Manager
