As the senior most member of the networking team you will perform the necessary facilitation, design tasks, and engineering related to network architecture with a high level of technical expertise. Responsible for the coordination, management, implementation, and monitoring of the enterprise LAN/WAN in a large e-commerce and corporate environment. You should be able to work independently and with a team, and assign tasks as necessary to project team members.

Analyze enterprise business context (trends and business strategy) to derive technical architecture.

Physical installation, configuration, and implementation of network hardware.

Work with vendors to prepare BOM’s, create design documents and Visio’s.

Analyze the current environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.

Design complex LAN/WAN and Data Center infrastructure utilizing the industry's best practice and systems integration of several platforms including UNIX and NT systems.

Gauge network health and manage the Cisco routers and switches, TCP/IP infrastructure, and Internet and third party connections using diagnostics and monitoring tools for matrix reporting.

Contribute to network operations practices, standards, measurements and reporting requirements.

Actively provide architecture, and implementation current networking technology solutions within a multi-campus environment.

Assist with developing and justifying requests for capital expenditures, project plans and equipment deployment.

Responsible for securing the data infrastructure from potential external and internal threats.

Advise on security measures to protect the data, reliability, and integrity of the infrastructure.

Responsible for maintaining compliance levels with SOX, PCI and governing authorities.

Participate in a 24X7 on-call support rotation.


Minimum Requirements:
10 years of relevant experience.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.

High expertise and experience in building, monitoring and troubleshooting a Cisco centric environment. Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS/IOS-XE/NX-OS.

High expertise and experience in OC3/12, MPLS, Ethernet over MPLS, and Metro Ethernet.

High expertise and experience in L2/L3 switching, QoS, VOIP/SIP, Spanning Tree, GLBP, BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, VLAN, VTP, and Cisco’s VPC and VDC technologies.

Expertise in Cisco UCS and underlying converged infrastructure.

Specific experience with F5 global/local load balancing, WAN application acceleration, Checkpoint firewalls, cabling structure and network security standards.

In depth knowledge of troubleshooting network issues.

Good and effective oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Requirements:
CCIE certification highly desired.

Scripting capabilities in one or more of the following - PERL, TCL, Python, or Shell.

Experience consolidating multiple IT infrastructures.

Experience implementing networks in collocated facilities.

Self-motivated leader.

Balance of architectural vision and deployment experience.
