Assists Network Managers in all aspects of network management. Requires great multi-tasking, time management, prioritizing and interpersonal skills. This position also requires excellent communication, customer service and problem solving skills as well as the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and internal staff. Works under general supervision.


Focuses on maintaining and enhancing overall provider relations by concentrating on positive customer service and satisfaction in all interactions and correspondence with current and potential providers.

Coordinates Network Manager''s provider recruitment efforts by soliciting new providers, supplying appropriate information and contracts and answering questions and addressing provider concerns as appropriate.

Performs provider orientation presentations.

Tracks and follows up on credentialing process and maintains status reports for network management.

Answers provider questions in a timely fashion and professional manner, updating the network management team on issues, concerns and trends. Educates providers when appropriate.

Provides superior level of service to providers, responding to issues and problems in a timely manner using critical thinking and independent judgment.

Supports, coordinates and performs provider contract analysis, negotiation, credentialing, training and data collection, analysis and reporting.

Collaborates and works well with all members of the Network Management team.

Coordinates various administrative functions for the local network management team. Maintains/updates project records and department files.

Required Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Must be familiar with modern office equipment and must be highly proficient in most Microsoft applications. Requires critical thinking and independent judgment.

Required Experience

One to three years experience in healthcare, managed care, provider relations or provider setting highly desired. Degree or equivalent experience preferred, with healthcare concentration
