Duties and Responsibilities:
Proactively manage and upgrade Checkpoint and Juniper Firewalls, Web Firewalls,Intrusion Prevention Systems, Packet Shaper, and other security threat data sources. Troubleshoot intermediate network outages. Able to use and manage existing tools like Avaya Enterprise Device Manager and Java Device Manager, Riverbed Cascade and Shark, Checkpoint Smart Dashboard, Juniper RingMaster Wireless, What’s Up Gold, and Exinda. Use strong TCP/IP networking skills to perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems. Requires strong background in TCP,UDP, DNS, OSPF, SNMP, NAT, IPV6 WAN technologies, VLANs, subnets and LAN Switching and Routing,. Conduct network studies and analysis, perform capacity and resource planning and assess network risks and contingency planning. Familiarity with BGP and multiple ISP connection Internet architectures Create and improve network process documentation. Assist the internal IT group in maintaining, supporting, building and troubleshooting the managed services network and security environment. Strong working knowledge of Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems Strong working knowledge of DHCP, DNS and Active Directory Interface with non-IT, onsite clients to understand the quality aspects and expectations, as needed. Resolve problems independently and understand escalation procedure. Performs related duties as required. Work with outside vendors, either in person or by telephone, to resolve problems.

Minimum Requirements: Candidates must have at least 5 years experience managing large scale networks, strong management skills, excellent communication and project management skills. A bachelor degree in network engineering or computer science is preferred or equivalent business experience in the computer networking industry.
Rate: $85,917 - $95,101/year
