Contribute to a team of engineers Designing, Implementing, & Documenting Extranet, and LAN networks using switches, encryptors, firewalls and load balancers after analyzing defined requirements.
Meet with customer’s technical leads; understand their topology in order to transition their current network to our architecture.
Write detailed Cisco configurations and practical cut-over plans
Basic Qualifications:
Network Specialist III
Associate’s degree and 5 years work experience; or 7 years related experience
3 -5 years of LAN & WAN design including port aggregation, trunking & STP
Practical understanding of communication protocols .i.e. ARQ, flow control, queuing theory, routing & switching protocols.
2 years of Operations support experience
Knowledge of network mgt software products & IT security
3 years of Cisco CLI & product exposure
Excellent Customer communication skills
2 years of experience with encryptors, tunnels, load balancers & firewalls
Desired Skills:
Drafting skill & Visio or AutoCad experience
Knowledge of DNS and DHCP
Experience designing Network Management Systems
